AR Fio – Calendar 2012

Last year we had given away 2000+ calendar, hope all of you still keeping it nicely as we added something interesting to it.

Install the free app Junaio now and you will able to see an AR Fio coming out from the Roomism calendar 2012 (black version).

Junaio is available for iPhone and Android phones.

Step 1

First of all, prepare your Roomism Calendar 2012. It is the marker of the AR Fio.

Right click the icon and select “save link as” to save the image to your computer. Print it with your printer and enjoy.

Step 2

Launch the Junaio app. Click on “Scan” button.

Step 3

Option 1

Put it on top of the marker (the entire calendar), click on “Search for channel” button. Ignore “Open”.

Option 2

Search for “roomism” using the search bar on top of the screen.

Step 4

Be patient. Now it’s searching for the channel.

Step 5

Click on “Go”.

Step 6

Loading the 3D to your device.

Step 7

Here you go, meet the AR Fio. Enjoy!

We invested a 3D printer

We invested a 3D printer at December 2011, tested for months (as we don’t have much time playing with it)and did a lot of experimental prints, now we can say it works well at the moment. But we keep improving the printing quality along the road. Let’s have a look on some of the printings.

When the time we finished testing and tweaking the 3D printer the Chinese New Year is near, so we just use the printer to print a stencil for the festival cookies. 蝙蝠 the Chinese of bat got the similar pronunciation of 福 which mean happiness, in Chinese customs people used to put bat relief to decorate their house.

Tinkle Bear Mini Show Expansion

For those who missed the Mini Show at last December, here’s the good news.

We are going to have an expansion of the Tinkle Bear Mini Show at this month at Parco Marina Bay.

If you already went to the show at Red Dot Design Museum do come again, as you will see the village of the Tinkle Bear.

Dear all~ Roomism presents you the Fabric Fun Dolls Exhibition 2011- Tinkle Bear Mini Show.

It is really mini and only showing for 6 hours, yes you heard me right is 6 hours.

Nana had spent countless time on the preparation of this exhibition and yet all the props only use for 6 hours, so we welcome all of you come down and take as much photo as you can to keep this memories forever.

We are going to show this Boxy Bat – Ritual Kelu on the coming MAAD Oct 2011.

The design is inspired by the ritual mask in some tribe culture, many of the ritual sculpture or mask can still be seen in Southeast Asia, in some relief decorate the buildings, mask that you can bought back and decorate your house or souvenir of ancestors figure etc.

When we apply it in the Boxy Bat it’s extremely match, the face of the bat and the relief on the body shows a tint of the Southeast Asia ritual. We hope you’ll like it too.

Roomism in Paper Toy Monster

Just bought the Paper Toy Monster from Kinokuniya.

Roomism contributed 2 design in this book, it’s really nice paper toy books, and you can see many famous paper artist work in it, all of the design are very creative and fun.

The design of the wolfman hand was changed a bit to fit everything inside a page.

You can see the QRcode on the design, for those who are using smart phone can actually scan it with any QRcode reader and it’ll lead you to our website, very convenient.

For those who are not familiar with the QRcode reader we recommend Red Laser. It is a free app and it is fast react to the QRcode. It is available for iPhone and Android phone.
